Statement of Vision:

Our Mission:
PCR works to bridge the gap between Palestinians and peoples from all around the world, informing the public about the reality in Palestine, and empowering the community through nonviolent direct action.

Our Goals:
1) Promote arriving at a just and peaceful Palestine
2) Promote harmony and rapprochement within society and between societies
3) Raise awareness Provide accurate and first hand information about Palestine
4) Enhance civic duty and civic responsibility especially for empowering youth, women, and for marginalized segments of our society.

Attempting to match these issues, PCR has recently developed three main departments, where all its activities fall under, namely the Media, Travel and Community Service departments. These three departments serve the advocacy efforts that PCR is doing since it was initiated in 1988.

The Media Department:
This department is running the International Middle East Media Center (IMEMC). IMEMC is a media center developed in 2003 collaboration between Palestinian and International journalists to provide independent media coverage of Israel-Palestine.

Being a joint Palestinian-International effort, IMEMC combines Palestinian journalists' deep understanding of the context, history, and the socio-political environment with International journalists' skills in non-partisan reporting. Thus, IMEMC provides fair and comprehensive coverage of events and developments in Israel-Palestine.

IMEMC serves as rich source for information alternative to the corporate media, by providing untold stories from Palestine.

The A;ternative Travel Department:
The main project of the Travel Department is the Siraj Center for Holy Land Studies. www.sirajcenter.org
Siraj Center is a way to bring Palestinians and Internationals together to learn more about each other, which serves one of the main goals of Rapprochement. In addition, Siraj provides alternative tours for tourists that make them more aware of the situation in Palestine.

Siraj organizes an annual summer program, known as Palestine Summer Celebration through which participants have an opportunity to live with Palestinian Families, learn Arabic, volunteer at Palestinian NGOs, and learn Palestinian folklore dancing and Arabic food in addition to visiting Palestine and many other things.

The Community Service Department

This department is running two projects to educate young Palestinians for a better future. One, is the “Young Advocates Program”, a capacity building project aiming at enhancing the skills of young Palestinians to advocate the Palestinian cause and to better serve their community and country.

The second program is the “Education for All” project, which is an attempt to provide alternative non-curricular education for school students that would enhance their academic performance and make them more politically aware.

For the coming period, after establishing the pillars, PCR has plans to develop projects and activities that create an overlap among these three pillars
