PCR in coordination with the Swedish Fellowship of Reconciliation (SweFOR) organized a seminar on peace practice and advocacy work regarding the Palestinian – Israeli conflict.

Ten local organizations from Bethlehem and Jerusalem areas participated in the seminar  which was held on April 2, at the Greek Catholic Church hall in Beit Sahour.

The seminar discussed Pillars of conflict and the factors that keep the conflict going. Participanting organziations also highlighted the key actors who can influence the development of the conflict, to peace or to continued conflict.

The seminar also explored the role of advocacy and ways of maximizing its effectiveness on the local and international levels.

Additionally, the seminar discussed the role of International organizations in having an effect on the pillars and the key actors in the conflict.

Founded in 1919, SweFOR has a long history of working for peace and reconciliation through active nonviolence., it has worked with information and advocacy regarding the conflict in Palestine and Israel for years.

SweFOR is partner organization to PCR and has invited PCR for some of its projects in Sweden. PCR has long term partnership with the Fellow Ship of Reconciliation in the United States and the International Fellowship of Reconciliation (IFOR).
