PCR Joins the Youth Advocacy Team to the UN

 

 In the sixth year of the International Decade for the Culture of Peace and Non-violence, declared by the United Nations’ General Assembly (2001 – 2010), a team of twelve youth peace activists descended upon the headquarters of the United Nations, to lobby over a two-week period from 9th to 20th of October, 2006, for further commitments to the realization of a Culture of Peace.

 

Elias Deis of Beit Sahour represented PCR in the Youth Advocacy Team, a joint project of the United network of Young Peace builders and Fundacion Cultura de Paz. 

PCR is curently runnign a training program, Young Advocates Program (YAP) with an aim to prepare young Palestinians for advocacy work.  The training includes Human Rights, Communication Skills, Advocacy Skills, Web Design and Media Skills. (Read more about YAP)
